Dentist honored for decades of humanitarian work
Terry T. Tanaka, DDS, was awarded the 2011 California Dental Association Foundation Humanitarian Award for his dedication to providing dental care to underserved populations for more than three decades. Tanaka’s humanitarian contributions date back to 1979 when he began his work with field surgical clinics in Mexicali, La Paz and Guaymas.

CDA Foundation announces Neal Johnson, PhD, DDS, as Dugoni Faculty Award recipient
The CDA Foundation has announced its annual recipient of the Dr. Arthur A. Dugoni Faculty Award as Neal Johnson, PhD, DDS. Johnson, who is the sixth recipient of the award, is currently an associate professor at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He graduated from LLU in 2008 and now teaches microbiology for dental students, research ethics, biomedical sciences and general pathology.
