The cafeteria at Terra Bella Elementary school in Tulare County was transformed into a massive dental clinic, thanks in part to the CDA Foundation.

The CDA Foundation supported the AYUDA-USC Dental Clinic in implementing a very large and comprehensive dentistry event on February 7, 8 & 9 in the gymnasium of Terra Bella Elementary School. Forty-four dental students and three faculty members from USC performed 760 operative procedures on 642 children, eliminating pain for each child. School officials said the typical student’s parents are farm workers and that roughly 40 percent do not have dental insurance.

The event, a collaboration between the local school district, USC School of Dentistry, AYUDA, Inc., Dent-Mat Corporation and the CDA Foundation, was deemed a huge success. “This is the best thing that has ever happened in Terra Bella,” said Debby Tupper, principal Terry Bella Elementary School.
