Proceeds from both the silent and live auction will benefit CDA Foundation programs, like the Pediatric Oral Health Access Program (POHAP). A total of 327 dentists have completed the POHAP training course and have welcomed over 17,300 new patients ages 0-5, as well as provided free restorative dental treatment to more than 2,800 young children. This young girl was waiting to see Dr. Andrew Chen, a POHAP doctor in Chico.
HOD Auction Proceeds to Benefit CDA Foundation
This November, a portion of the famous Beverly Hills Hilton will be transformed into a Rock & Roll paradise as CDA hosts its annual President’s Party to celebrate and honor Dr. Brian Scott, the outgoing president of the association.
This year’s party will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 in conjunction with the House of Delegates and will feature an auction with proceeds to benefit the CDA Foundation programs.
Event Chair Carol G. Summerhays, DDS, said “The Foundation is making a tremendous difference for underserved people throughout California, including children, the elderly and working families, by providing programs and services that increase access to oral health care. It’s our hope that this event will increase visibility of the Foundation among CDA as well as raise significant funds for various initiatives.” Dr. Summerhays is currently seeking items for both the silent and live auctions. The silent auction items will be available for viewing in October through a link on the Foundation Web site cdafoundation.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
