M. Sadegh Namazikhah, DMD, MSEd

M. Sadegh Namazikhah, DMD, MSEd is tenacious about cultivating new Friends of the CDA Foundation, the annual giving club that begins at a $1,000 annual gift, or $85 per month, and goes towards programs and initiatives that increase access to oral health care in California.

The program grew by 21 new and renewed Friends ranging from individual gifts of $1,000 - $5,000 each after a successful Be A Friend campaign at CDA Presents in Anaheim. The majority of the new Friends were the result of a passionate plea from Dr Namazikhah who also committed to matching the next 25 Friends at $1,000 each for a total of $50,000 for the Foundation.

“Good things are happening throughout California as a direct result of the CDA Foundation’s charitable acts, but there is still more that needs to be accomplished,” says Dr. Namazikhah. “By becoming a Friend, we have the opportunity to expand these individual good works through our collective philanthropic support of the CDA Foundation. Frankly, there is nothing more rewarding, emotionally and spiritually then having the privilege of helping others.” With the new friends and Dr. Namazikhah’s challenge, the Foundation is only 61 Friends away from their goal of 350 by the end of the year.

The Be A Friend campaign was launched in 2008 with larger than life signs of CDA member Friends at the Anaheim convention asking colleagues to become a Friend of the CDA Foundation. New signs were added to this year’s show that highlighted actual recipients of a CDA Foundation-funded program. “It is so important that CDA members know about our Foundation and the impact that we are making in California,” said Lindsey Robinson, DDS, chair of the CDA Foundation. “The Be A Friend campaign emphasizes that when you become a Friend of the CDA Foundation, you also become a friend to so many who are benefitting from the Foundation’s numerous programs and services, that for many is the only safety net for care they have. It is an incredibly generous challenge that Dr. Namazikhah is offering that demonstrates his genuine commitment to partnering with the Foundation to help the underserved in California.”
