CDA Foundation Provides Mobile Dental Clinic for Homeless Veterans

CDA Foundation, with funding from TDIC, was able to provide this Mobile Dental Unit for the August Stand Down event in Marysville.

A local veteran receives dental treatment during the VA’s Stand Down event in Marysville. Stand Downs are one part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ efforts to provide services to homeless veterans.

The CDA Foundation provided a mobile dental clinic at three of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ 2007 Stand Down events. This is the fourth year in a row that a mobile dental clinic was provided to some of Northern California’s Stand Down events, thanks to funding provided by TDIC.

This year, the CDA Foundation contracted with Access Dental Plan and their mobile dental clinic to provide dental access at three regional Stand Down events including the Yuba/Sutter Stand Down in Marysville on August 25; the Sacramento Stand Down on September 15 and at the Dixon Stand Down on October 3-4.

The CDA Foundation’s Mobile Dental program is one of a myriad of initiatives designed to increase access to care to the state’s most vulnerable populations.
