The CDA Foundation is making tremendous strides in increasing access to oral care for our state’s underserved populations, including children, the elderly and working families. Your contribution to these efforts will help create a smile and change a life!
The CDA Foundation is supported by voluntary contributions. By including your $100 tax-deductible contribution on your CDA dues statement, you and your colleagues can collectively impact many lives in California. For about the cost of one restoration, dentists and others like you have:
Provided oral health services to more than 70,000 infants and young children through the Pediatric Oral Health Access Program (POHAP)
Made significant progress in attaining 62% of the 70% goal of Californians receiving water fluoridation by the year 2010
Provided Student Loan Repayment Grants to recipients who have provided nearly $5 million in services to underserved children and families
Provided nearly $3 million in grants to community-based dental programs that increase access to dental care for hundreds of thousands of underserved Californians
Awarded 580 scholarships to students enrolled in California dental programs
Nearly 80,000 people received dental care from community nonprofit dental clinics through CDA Foundation Grant Program funding.
With more than $1.5 million of in-kind help from the partnership with CDA Foundation and Henry Schein Cares, 70 struggling nonprofit dental clinics were able to offer low cost or free services.
