Donor Spotlight: Henry Schein Cares and CDA Foundation Partner to bring Millions in Supplies to Struggling Community Clinics
Over the last five years, the CDA Foundation has been the gatekeeper and partner organization for the Henry Schein Cares dental materials and supply grant program in California. Through the CDA Foundation Dental Materials and Supplies Grant, nearly 70 nonprofit organizations have received more than $1.5 million worth of much needed supplies.

Verizon Provides Funding For Virtual Dental Home Project
More than four hundred students within the Twin Rivers Unified School District will be able to receive free dental care thanks to a new telemedicine project, The Virtual Dental Home, created jointly by the California Dental Association Foundation, University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and the California HealthCare Foundation with $100,000 in start-up funding from Verizon.

Geriatric Oral Health Access Pilot Program Wraps Up
Over the course of 12 months, 37 residents of a long-term care facility in San Mateo received a free oral health assessment, as well as dental hygiene and restorative treatment, thanks to a CDA Foundation grant funded pilot project known as the Geriatric Oral Health Access Program (GOHAP).

Legacy Lounge Makes Its Debut at CDA Presents
Frank A. Brucia, DDS, hosted the debut of the CDA Foundation Legacy Lounge at CDA Presents in San Francisco on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12. Thanks to support from Corporate Philanthropic supporter Waiting Room Theater, the Legacy Lounge was offered to retired dentists, current Friends of the CDA Foundation, and CDA Foundation Legacy Society members, as an oasis in the sea of activity that makes up CDA Presents.

The CDA Foundation is hosting a charitable drawing during the President's Dinner at the CDA House of Delegates on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009. Supporting student achievement helps provide an opportunity for students to succeed in their academic programs and increase career opportunities in both traditional and nontraditional practice settings, such as clinics in underserved communities. The CDA Foundation Dental Student Scholarship provides dental students with scholarships toward completing their education.
