More Than $67,000 Raised for the CDA Foundation At House of Delegates

Through the annual raffle and other direct fundraising efforts, the CDA Foundation raised more than $67,000 at the House of Delegates last month! The additional funds generated were from 32 new and renewed Friends of the CDA Foundation and through general donations throughout the course of the weekend. According to Jennifer Stolo, associate executive director of the Foundation, giving at this year’s HOD represented a 70% participation from the attendees, up from 18% last year. “I think that our members are becoming increasingly more aware of the impact that the Foundation is having across California and naturally want to be a part of that,” said Stolo.

The CDA Foundation would like to thank all of the component executive directors and board members who participated in this year’s raffle for doing their part in supporting the Foundation’s vital initiatives, including the CDA Foundation Grant Program.  To date, the CDA Foundation Grant Program has awarded nearly $300,000 to local agencies and component-related programs to expand dental care in communities.

The Foundation would also like to acknowledge the generosity of the following people and organizations for making the prize packages possible through their donations: The CDA Scientific Sessions department; Loma Linda School of Dentistry; UCLA School of Dentistry; and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
