Free Pediatric Training Programs Available
The CDA Foundation is currently accepting applications for upcoming Pediatric Oral Health Access Program trainings in Southern and Northern California.
Known as POHAP, the free training program provides a sustainable increase in access to dental care by providing general dentists with the increased skills and comfort level needed to treat young children, including children with physical and/or developmental disabilities. So far, the program has trained nearly 200 dentists who have provided treatment to more than 10,000 children statewide.
POHAP will be offered on January 25, 26 & 27 for dentists practicing in San Diego County, Orange County and Imperial County, and on March 28, 29 & 30 for dentists practicing in Northern California (Counties Included: Alpine, Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Tehama & Trinity). Applicants must be available to attend all three days of training from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. POHAP has a limited number of spaces available, and the application process is competitive.
