Be A Friend…Like Janice Moreno, DDS

“Life’s greatest pleasures come not from the things we amass but from the joys we give to others,” says Janice Moreno, DDS, Friend of the CDA Foundation and new Foundation board member.

“Each of us comes to a time in our life of finding greater meaning and purpose.  This is why I have become so passionate of the great work being done by the CDA Foundation.”

As a very vocal Friend of the CDA Foundation, Dr. Moreno is often challenged with the question, With so many places to give, why should I become a Friend of the CDA Foundation? According to Dr. Moreno, it’s an easy answer. “I know first hand that the funds from the Friends of the CDA Foundation go directly to support community efforts that will impact so many lives across the state. I volunteer at St. Raphael’s Dental Clinic in Stockton, which is one of the CDA Foundation Grant recipients. I witness people’s lives changing regularly. My question is Who wouldn’t want to be a Friend?”

Dr. Moreno points out that she supports the Foundation’s approach to not just treat problems of access to care but create solutions to solve the access to care problems.  “The Foundation supports education, fluoridation, grants, loan repayments allowing dentists to work in underserved areas, pediatric oral health programs and much more,” says Dr. Moreno, “It’s absolutely vital now because of the economic climate that we all support the Foundation so these initiatives can continue.”
